The Wooden Boat Association of North Queensland

The Wooden Boat Association of North Queensland is an active group of people who have an interest in timber boats. Our current members comprise both owners and lovers of all types of wooden craft from canoes, skiffs and trailerable yachts to cruising yachts and powered craft. The Association was formed in Townsville in 1995 to act as the host organisation for the first North Queensland Wooden Boat Show held that year. That show has been held annually since then and the Association also indulges in a number of other social and community activities. There are regular meetings of the Townsville Branch on the first Monday of each month at the Townsville Motor Boat & Yacht Club Plume St South Townsville (1800h) for the transaction of Association business and the exchange of news and views.
