January

  • Sat 23 to Sun 24:  WBGT Rowing, Sailing and Camping trip to Marion Bay.  More details to come. Bring big and small boats; Camping sites available Trip leader: G Burrows. Tide predictions

  • Sun 27:  WBGT Green Island (Pipe Clay Lagoon) rowing day.  Big boats welcome. Includes tour of Oyster farm. Trip leader: Roly 0408 243 883.  Access from Pipe Clay Esplanade, Cremorne for small boats or through 310 Bicheno Street, Clifton Beach for cars. Tide predictions

May

  • Friday 16 to Sunday 18:  Brisbane Working with Wood Show. WBAQ will be there.

  • Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th:   10th BRIBIE ISLAND CLASSIC BOAT REGATTA. For Steam, Sail, Motor & Row Boats (Built to Traditional Designs) This is a wonderful opportunity for you to see vintage style boats, some powered by steam engines, as they present a rare spectacle on Bribie’s waterways.  Contact Daryl Phillips (07) 3408 7888 INFORMATION: www.bribieislandyachtclub.org.au

July

  • Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th Flinders Day: Coochiemudlo Island To be held on Norfolk beach where Matt himself landed to make more accurate navigation observations. REGULAR WBA MEETINGS

  • WBA QLD. Second Tuesday of the month, Queensland Maritime Museum, Southbank, Brisbane.

  • WBA NQ Townsville. First Monday of each month at the Victoria Park Hotel, Boundary St. South Townsville (1800h)

  • WBA NQ Cairns.

  • WBA NSW. Second Tuesday every month at Gladesville Bowling & Sports Club Ryde Rd & Halcyon St, Gladesville,

  • TBSA ACT.  Sailing day 3rd Sunday every month, Lake Burley Griffin

  • WBA Victoria  Third Wednesday every month, Albert Park Yacht Club, Albert Park. WBA (Vic) Wednesday Club nights (from 7:30 pm) and Sailing Days (from 10:00 am) are held at Albert Park Yacht Club unless otherwise specified.

  • WBA South Australia. Last Monday of even months at the Sturt Community Sports Club- meet before from 6.30pm for drinks; order meal by 7pm or just show up for the meeting at 8pm

  • ABBA. Last Wednesday of every second month from July (Sept, Nov, etc) at South of Perth Yacht Club

  • WBGT. Third Monday of every month at the "Mariners Cottage", Napoleon St (in the park by the slips) Battery Point 7004 at 19.30hrs.
